Abstract

I will talk about recent experimental works in Akira Furusawa's lab. Especially, we have recently succeeded in continuous variable quantum teleportation of a non-Gaussian state. The input state is a so-called Schrödinger's kitten state which has a negative value at the origin of the Wigner function. The teleported output state retained this negativity. The non-Gaussian input state is heralded by a photon detection, and it exists in a temporally localized mode. Therefore, we had to build a teleporter with wider bandwidth (from near 0 Hz to about 10 MHz, which is determined by the optical parametric oscillator), instead of the traditional narrow-sideband one. In a similar manner, squeezing of a single-photon state is also demonstrated.
