Abstract

We propose a quantum error-correcting scheme to encode many qubits in a single rotor, that is, a continuous 2pi-periodic degree of freedom. We show how to manipulate and entangle the encoded qubits. We then discuss the feasibility of this scheme. The presented idea is immediately generalizable to qudits of any finite dimension.
