Abstract

In this talk, I will overview the field of quantum control, particularly focusing on the role of control theoretical notions and tools playing in the quantum information technologies. The control scheme is structured with two stages; the filtering stage and the feedback control stage. Filtering is a technique used to extract information from the system under consideration. The measurement data obtained is then fed back to control the system. Some specific examples including optics and spin systems will be discussed.
