Shin Nishio is a PhD student within the Global Research Center for Quantum Information Science at NII. He took the bachelor's degree at Keio University under the supervision of Rodney Van Meter and Takahiko Satoh on the design and evaluation of a compiler for quantum computers.

Research Interests

Shin's current research interests focus, among others, on:

Evaluation of large scale quantum information processing systems, including quantum error correction.

Implementation and semantics for quantum programming languages.

Quantum algorithms related to graph theory, especially quantum walks.

He is also known for taking pictures of stars, nebulae and comets on holidays.
